Occupy for Prisoners Protest at Heery International, February 20th 2012

In support of Occupy Oakland's call for a "National Occupy Day in Support of Prisoners" Decarcerate PA held a rally at the offices of Heery International, a company being paid over $300 million to build two new state prisons in Montgomery County. These prison expansions come at a time when budgets for education and human resources are being slashed left and right. At this rally, we read statements from people who couldn't be physically there with us because they are incarcerated, and we left our own "blueprints" for all the things we would like to see built instead of prisons. This video includes a brief interview with retired Philadelphia police Captain Ray Lewis, who has been arrested with Occupy Wall Street activists in uniform to show his support.
