As the state government in Pennsylvania cuts funding from public education, forcing the closure of schools around Philadelphia and the state, a $400 million dollar prison construction project is underway in Montgomery County. The new complex would add 4,100 beds to PA's prison system at the expense of teachers and students in the most vulnerable neighborhoods.

Decarcerate PA! is a grassroots organization fighting to end mass incarceration in Pennsylvania. In November of 2012, seven members were arrested while blocking access to the prison construction site and are currently facing legal fees of up to $10,000.

Come make a dent in their court costs while listening to a very eclectic range of punk bands.

Event is at the Lava Space at 4134 Lancaster Avenue in West Philly.  Doors open at 7:00.
